Grant location permission on Android

VoiceMap needs access to your location to trigger audio at the right moments during your tour.

When you first open the app, tap While using the app when prompted. When you start a tour, tap Allow all the time when prompted. This keeps audio playing even when your screen locks.

If you missed or denied either prompt, you can update the setting manually:

  1. Open Settings on your device.
  2. Tap Apps (or Apps and notifications).
  3. Tap See all apps and select VoiceMap.
  4. Tap Permissions.
  5. Tap Location.
  6. Select Allow all the time.

If you're not actively taking a tour, you can switch this back to While using the app in the same settings menu to save battery.
